Welcome to Mrs. D's Workshop Outlet!

Welcome to Mrs. D's Workshop Outlet!

Welcome to Mrs. D’s Workshop Outlet!

I work in the places where daylight grows thin,

Where the ordinary ends and the stories begin.

Some days I make marks with a pen or a thread,

Some days I just find what the threshold has said.

There are doors for the edges and lamps for the dark,

Small watchers that wait when the evening grows stark.

This shop is a workbench, a threshold, a keep —

A place where the quiet work still finds its sleep.

Welcome to my workshop!

This space — Mrs. D’s Workshop Outlet — is the always-open door of the workshop. Here you’ll find the pieces that live at the edge of the garden and near the hearth: threshold doors, red-capped watchers, mushroom folk, quiet lamps, and the stories that have already begun to take form in cloth and ink...

Sitting alongside the handmade work that will also live on the upcoming Mrs. D’s Workshop Etsy shop — crochet, jewelry, sewing, and the curated baskets that grow from the same hands — and the occasional table at future markets. Different doors, same workshop.

Behind it all is Mrs. D’s Crucible, the storytelling side of the work that inspires so many of my collections. The Goblin Grins podcast is preparing to open its first episodes. Vasilisa the Beautiful is already available, with its video still taking shape. Rumpelstiltskin is coming next — both the book and the moving version of the tale.

My life is rural liminal ground. The light changes differently here. The work follows that rhythm.

So if you are wandering, lost in the wood,
And your voice has gone missing, misunderstood—
If all that you carry is threadbare and thin,
And the gate creaks before you—
dear heart, walk in.

(From Vasilisa the Beautiful)

If you’ve found your way through my gate, you are welcome. Wander the collections. Sit with whatever calls to you. The stories are still spinning, and there’s room at the workbench.
